A nutrition PhD who had to fact-check her own pregnancy

Hi, I'm Sabahat Amin. I'm a nutrition coach with a PhD in Human Nutrition, and I help moms meet their nutritional needs from trying to conceive through the first year postpartum.

When I got pregnant, I realised how many of our food rules have no evidence behind them. Anda nahi khana. Garam cheezein nahi khani. Thandi cheezein nahi khani. Even educated families follow them, because nobody has shown them otherwise.

So I checked them. While I was struggling through it myself, I went to the research to find which foods really matter at each stage of pregnancy and recovery, and which "rules" are only myths. By my second pregnancy, I was eating by the evidence alongside my doctor's care, and I felt the difference in my energy and confidence.

Two pregnancies of my own showed me how easily a mom's own needs get forgotten. Now I help moms meet their nutritional needs at every stage, with science-based meal plans built around the foods they love: keeping the traditions that work, and without the guessing.

I'm a nutrition coach. I work alongside your doctor or midwife, and I'll always tell you when something needs their care instead.
